Raspberry Ribbons Sketch 11

Raspberry Ribbons are now on their 11th sketch and yet again its a great one. I have chosen to do a layout again. With one of my daughters being star player of the week at football last sunday, and being presented with a medal, it had to be all about her this time. Here is my layout.

It is very very simple using two different Ribbons, two pieces of card and photos of the star herself, the medal and the club badge on the football shirt. I have added a few stars as she really is our football star.

Here is my take on the this weeks sketch over at Rough Draft Sketches.
Due to the girls being so busy in the next few weeks we decided to get the dercorations out today. As we took our well loved christmas bits and pieces out of their boxes we found them looking old and tired. We have decided this will be their last year, so photos had to taken and a page made up.

This weeks prize is a pack of adhesive goods worth £10 so why not pop over and have a go at this weeks challenge, pop your creation on your blog and add a link back to the challenge site.

With the drum kit gone at last I can now get on with catching up. This is my card forRaspberry Ribbons Sketch Challenge. The stamp is one from Elzybells Stamps and the ribbons and buttons are from Raspberry Ribbons. All the card and paper are from the stash box.

Friday 3 October 2008

A chance to finish the canvas

A few months ago one of my daughters showed an interest in playing the drums. So one saturday morning a drum kit arrived. Her dad had hired it for a month with 4 lessons to see how she got on. 4 weeks later a second drum kit has now appeared. I don't mind the second set, she is very good and wants to start on getting some grades, but they seem to have forgotten that you really should take the hired ones back first and that the second set does not live infront of the craft table. All I could get to this morning was the canvas I started earlier in the week so as promised here is the finished result. I have been promised that the 1st set will be gone tomorrow morning.

Thursday 2 October 2008

Still Sewing

I have carried on with the sewing theme and tried circles this time. I love the effect it has given. I can't believe I had all these templates hidden away without being used. If you haven't tried it before then give it a go. The circles are on the background paper for the next canvas will post a picture of it when its finished.

Monday 29 September 2008

Sewing

I decided to have a look at what I had hidden away in the craft room today to try to get some ideas and found some sewing templates from Bazzill Basics Paper. I used part of one to join the circle of card to the background paper of this canvas and I am very pleased with the end result. After pricking the part of the pattern I wanted directly onto the paper and card I have used normal black thread doubled and followed the dots using back stitch. It does take time but well worth it.

Friday 26 September 2008

Stamp Something

Over at Stamp Something the challenge this week is just to stamp something. I have used one of my new stamps that came this morning from Elzybells.

Paper take Weekly Challenge

Over at Papertake Weekly they have asked us to make a yellow card for Children In need. These cards can then be used for Quick Cards Made Easy who are attempting to break the record for the worlds biggest card. This is my card and will be posting it later. All the details are on the Papertake Weekly blog.

Tuesday 23 September 2008

Another small canvas.

This is the second canvas I have made using the 15cmx15cm size. I have used the orange and yellow ribbons again as they are such lovely bright colours. I have added another 9cmx9cm black and white photo to show how it would look. The ribbons are tied around a lolly stick and then with using some invisable thread I have sewn it to the paper. As it is a box style canvas it is easy to hang on the wall.

Monday 22 September 2008

Small canvas

I have found a place that sells a smaller size canvas and this is the first one. It measures 15cmx15cm and I have added a picture 9x9cm to show how it could look. This along with others will be on sale in My Shop in the next few days.
