A very happy Saturday to you all. Its so great being at home on the weekends.

I have kept this card very plain and simple this time as it is a Missing You card and I wanted to make the image the main part of the card. The papers have spots and dots and both the ribbons are spotty as well

Project Tuesday - Gift Card Holder

This has to be one of the easiest gift cards to make. I had a lot of fun making this.

Project Tuesday has yet another fab challenge for us this week and this is really quick to make. I have used a double-sided scrapbook paper by Senic Route which I picked up at Brighton the other week and this lovely chocolate Bazzill card matched it perfectly. I have used one of favorite stamps from Elzybells and coloured it with cosmic shimmers. Do pop over and see the DT's makes they really are fab and they are looking for some lucky person to join their team.
I do hope you haven't got as wet as I did taking the girls to school today.

'Gone Fishing Again'

My second card using this fab stamp set is only small but gives a surprise element when opened..........

This is so easy to make and I will let you know when the instructions are posted. I have used a strip of acetate that is folded on both ends, one behind the paper and one stuck to the fishermans back to make him spring out. I have left the inside of the card quite plain so I can decorate it when I decide who to send it too.
Again everything used to make this card can be bought from One Stop Card Crafts.

Tomorrow I will be showing you my Project Tuesday make, this week its a gift card.

'Top Bloke' Card

This month I have been using a fab stamp set by Clare Curd called For Him. I have used the fisherman stamp but included is also the image of a golfer and a D.I.Y man.

These are un-mounted stamps and
One Stop Card Crafts have a range of these stamp sets on sale in their shop. All the items used to make this card are also on sale in the shop.
Tomorrow I will be posting my second card I have made using these stamps.

OSCC Challenge 68

This week we have a great challenge for you all. It has been set by Suzi and its to create a Wall Hanging. I have made mine from a canvas and added a scrapbook page to it.

The canvas is a white 8"x8" that can be bought from any art shop and also in craft and some of the £1 shops. I then just planned and made a scrapbook page as normal and stuck it directly to the canvas. These make fab presents and work out really cheap. The DT have all come up with different wall hangings which are all absolutely fab and should give you plenty of inspiration. To get some extra inspiration to decorate the front of this 'CD Holder' which is this weeks challenge over at Project Tuesday, I asked my youngest daughter to give me something and it happened to be her Princess story book. It has no layout just pictures of all the usual fairy tale princesses. All I could do was use my Princess stamp and the colours on the front of the book which is why this has come out the colours it is.

Project Tuesday - Wiper Card

This week Project Tuesday has challenged us to make a Wiper Card. As the stamp I have used (found in a bargain bin for £1) is so simple I wanted to keep the whole look the same so have only added two small bits of ribbon to decorate.

I knew the words'May your day be filled with sunshine' were perfect for this card and this stamp is called 'Sunshine Wave' by Stampendous. The patterned paper is from a set by The English Paper Company called 'Siesta Lavender'

Stamps and Smiles Sketch Challenge SASSC49

The Fresh Batch has a weekly sketch challenge every Thursday and this is my first time joining them. Its a fab sketch and I have used this wonderful Elephant from the Daisy & Dandelion collection. I have had to use coloured pencils to colour the Ellie in but I am pleased with the result.

Love and Kisses
This week Shelley has set the challenge and its all about Love and Kisses (Valentines). I find Valentines day cards the hardest to do, I don't know why, and apart from the odd heart stamp don't have many things that are suitable for love cards. However I remembered I had this stamp from Elzybells Fairytale stamps which has 'The Frog Prince ' on it (the story where she kisses the Frog and he turns into a Prince)and decided to it would be perfect.
The papers are from a set that came free with a scrapbook mag, and I used H2O'S to colour the image in. Buttons from my stash box.

I can Crochet !!!!!

One thing I wanted to do this year was challenge myself to try new things and learning how to crochet was one of them. With all this snow, meaning extra days at home, I sat and learnt how to crochet. I made the bag and also the flower myself and the handles came free with a knitting mag.

It isn't perfect but I am very pleased with it.

Project Tuesday-One Sheet Box

Today is Project Tuesday new challenge day. This week it is a box made from one sheet of card. Its so easy to make. I decided to theme mine around Easter but sadly my only 'Happy Easter' stamp is too big even when I tried to make it into tag to add to the side.

The stamp is from Elzybellsand I coloured the chick in with H2O'S.
I used Brazil card for the main box and paper and card from the left over scrap box.
The ribbon was also a some I had in the ribbon bag left over from another project. So not only was this a nice quick project it was a lovely cheap one as well.

Stamp Something " Glitzy" Challenge

I have finally sorted out my days so I have plenty of time to do some more challenges. The challenge at Stamp Something this week is Glitzy and as I love anything that sparkles I couldn't resist. I have made this card for my boyfriends two nephews.I have added glitter to the snowflakes that I stamped directly onto the card. I then added glitter to the snowman and boy image. The blue ribbon also has glitter running though it.

This week Project Tuesday has just what I need for the girls teachers Xmas presents. The fab Post-It-Note Holder is so quick and easy and I think looks great. I have yet to add the pencil as I need a trip to town to buy some. I have used a doubled sided scrapbook paper so it all matches and the flower on the front is stamped, coloured and then I have added some glossy accents to make it all shiny.

Project Tuesday S'Mores Jar

Over at Project Tuesday this week they have a great project which involves decorating a jar and adding a tag with the ingredients for S'Mores. All the dry ingredients are inside the jar and the recipe is is on the reverse of the tag. This really was a lot of fun and the girls can't wait to get in the kitchen and try out the recipe.

The Trouble With Mondays

The trouble with mondays is they never run smooth no matter what you do. After getting this lovely lot ready for school

and walking half way we realised that we had a lunch box missing. So back home we all went. How we missed the pinkest lunch box ever made I will never know.
What I do like about Mondays is it's my day to craft. This is two bags I have just finished off and I am quite pleased with them. They are so easy, just plain knitting, and quick to make. I have lined the lilac one to make it a bit stronger.

I just love a bit of knitting and never do enough of it. The girls are all learning to knit at the moment but it seems that mum spends most of the time un-doing mistakes. Here is one of their mobile phone covers. I think it looks great, well done to our Billie.

After a week being poorly with toothache, due to an abcess, its great to be back to normal and able to get on with some craft work. This week its my turn to set the challenge over at One Stop Craft Challenge and I have chosen 'Add Some Sparkle' Glitter is not just for christmas and I love using it on all sorts of projects. For this card I cut the three hearts out and using glue went around the outline and added the glitter. I added some patterned card to the inside of the card and a small flower charm that hangs in the large heart.

Lavender Fairies Projects

This month I have had these lovely Lavender Fairy stamps to use. I decided to use them to make a scrapbook page as well as a card. The set has 14 unmounted stamps in it and includes both the large and the small fairy. I also used Stick and Spray to mount the stamps onto the acrylic block which is a completly new product to me. This is so easy to use, just spray the back of the unmounted stamp wait for 30 seconds and stick to the block. Once you have used the stamp it just peels off.

I decided to use the great sketch over at Raspberry Ribbons Challenge Blog to make the christening card for our lovely nephew Archie. The stamp I had seen on line and comes from Daisy and Dandelion.The ribbon is from the April Kit at Raspberry Ribbons and the paper is some I found in my left over box.

This week over at Tag Your It the challenge is to create a tag using a great sketch. I decided to do something I don't normally do which is make a tag for a boy. All the bits I have used were in a large tub and I have no idea where they all came from. It was a challenge in itself just to use the odd bits.

This week the girls over at Colour Create want us to use Aqua and Peach. There is an added challenge of using flowers that you have made yourself.
I have made the flowers from Elzybells Flower Stamp and used Dovecraft Sticky Crochet for the stems. The background paper is some I had in my left-over box and I have used one of U-Mount Swirls stamps to add the pattern. I have inked the stamps with fluid chalk. The ribbon is from a kit put together by Raspberry Ribbons

Today is also Raspberry Ribbons new sketch challenge. Its a great sketch as usual and all you have to do is somewhere include some ribbon. I had to make a 40th wedding anniversary card for my lovely in-laws and this sketch was just perfect.

I have been tagged by Donna and my instructions are to put the 6th photo, in the 6th file, on my computer, onto my blog and explain it.
Well this was a bit scary as it could of been a picture of me!!! but it isn't. The 6th photo in the 6th file is one of daughter Skye on holiday last year at Camber Sands. It was a scooter rally and one of the bands were playing all the songs from Quadrophenia. All evening Skye was waiting for the song Bell Boy but fell asleep just as the song before was finishing. She was so cross when she woke up with me as well as missing the song.

I also have been given this lovely award from Paula

I will sort out who I am going to tag and pass the award onto shortly.

I have made a 'Pencil Case Charm'

I have used 3 eyepins and along with a flower charm at the bottom of each one I have add coloured beads along with thread and thin ribbon randomly to each one. They are then attached to a mobile phone cord.

I have chosen England as my country and I have 'Crafted Like A Victorian' using just scissors some ribbon and images cut from paper. Oh and some double sided tape not victorian I know but so much easier than flour and water.

This month I have been using Little Loving Kids unmounted stamps by Creative Expressions. I can recommend these stamps and so can my girls. They are easy to use and colouring in is a dream as the designs are bold. The rest of the design team have been using other images from this and other sets. With Christmas nearly upon us Sharon has set our next challenge which will run for 2 weeks to give everyone plenty of time to enter over this busy time. The closing date is 2nd Jan 2009.

Raspberry Ribbons Sketch 11

Raspberry Ribbons are now on their 11th sketch and yet again its a great one. I have chosen to do a layout again. With one of my daughters being star player of the week at football last sunday, and being presented with a medal, it had to be all about her this time. Here is my layout.

It is very very simple using two different Ribbons, two pieces of card and photos of the star herself, the medal and the club badge on the football shirt. I have added a few stars as she really is our football star.

I have made a handbag this week

After cutting out the template from plain blue card I cut a slightly smaller one from Juniper Double Sided Scrapbook Paper by Me and My Big Ideas. I have placed a smaller button inside a larger one for the centre of the flower and the same for the handbag flap.

Due to the girls being so busy in the next few weeks we decided to get the dercorations out today. As we took our well loved christmas bits and pieces out of their boxes we found them looking old and tired. We have decided this will be their last year, so photos had to taken and a page made up.
